A beginner-friendly course to introduce students to the world of Indian music through Hindustani classical and semi-classical styles. This course nurtures pitch, rhythm, and voice culture — forming a strong foundation.

  • Introduction to Swaras (Saptak, Arohan/Avarohan)

  • Raag Yaman, Bhairavi, Kafi (basic bandish)


  • Semi-classical forms: Introduction to Bhajan & Light Thumri

  • Introduction to Taal – Teentaal, Dadra

  • Semi-classical touch added to classical basics

  • Easy-to-follow structure with practice support

  • Develop pitch accuracy and vocal confidence

  • Learn one raag-based composition

  • Understand Indian musical terminology

  • Perform a short piece with tanpura

  • Tanpura app (e.g. Tabla Pro / Riyaaz)

  • Keyboard or harmonium (optional)

  • Notebook for music theory
